My Little Sister in Learning English

Mengetahui keinginan anak kecil yang ingin belajar bahasa asing alias bahasa Inggris tentunya sangat menyenangkan. Sepertinya. 😀 Apalagi keinginan itu berasal dari adik saya, Nala.

Tiap melihat saya, pasti Nalanya minta mau diajar bahasa Inggris.
‘Iya. Iya. Nanti Ning ajar,’ begitu terus kalau mencoba menghindari ajakannya.

FULL COLOR.

Kemarin kami belajar tentang nama-nama warna. Hahahaha… Satu kali melirik lembar jawaban. Awas ya…

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wquvUg5B0kw]

*Meragukan.

BIOGRAPHY of Raditya Dika ^^

RADITYA DIKA

Raditya Dika

Raditya Dika Nasution is an Indonesian writer, a comedian, and a script writer of comic or film. Raditya Dika is always called Raditya or Radith. He was born on Desember 28, 1984. Raditya Dika is known as the author of humorous books and then Raditya is known by public after his first book, Kambing Jantan (Gagasmedia, 2005).  The book is the result of adaptation of his old blog at www.kambingjantan.com. With having a comedy writing style and a candid story, Kambing Jantan was success and became a bestseller book.

Works

The first work that elevates his name is the book, Kambing Jantan: Sebuah Catatan Harian Pelajar Bodoh ( 2005 ). This book tells the life of Radith while still studying in Adelaide, Australia. The story of Radith is based on his stories as an Indonesian student that studied abroad. The book is presented in diary format (diary). The whole story in his work is based on his personal blog, www.kambingjantan.com, which now becomes www.radityadika.com.

Second book entitles Cinta Brontosaurus , it is published in 2006. Similar to the previous book, the stories in this book is based on the everyday story of Radith. However, this second book uses a short story format, that tells about experience of love of Radith that seemed not always lucky. The contents of this book include the story of when Radith sent a love letter to a friend when he was in elementary school to experience of Radith that watched his Persian cat that fell in love with another cat in its neighbor.

Third book entitles Radikus Makankakus: Bukan Binatang Biasa that issued on August 29, 2007. This third book tells Radith who had been a clown of Monas in a day, teaching and tutoring, then when Radith was taken for a ghost of toilet, until the story about the curse of NTB people.

Fourth book entitles  Babi Ngesot: Datang Tak Diundang, Pulang Tak Berkutang. That is published in April 2008. At the end of 2008, along with a comic artist, Rudiman Dio, Radith wrote a comic, Kambing Jantan, part 1, (Gagasmedia, 2008) and Kambing Jantan, part 2, (2011). This comic contains his life overseas as a student in Adelaide, Australia.

And fifth book entitles Marmut Merah Jambu in 2010. Most theme of Raditya Dika comedy revolves between his personal life, his family, with a hyperbolic style – self depreciating humor that it degrades himself.

Last Project of Raditya is a film that lifted from his first book, Kambing Jantan: The Movie, who directed by Rudi Soedjarwo. Besides writing the script with Salman Aristo and Mouly Surya, in that the film, he also played himself. The film is scheduled to appear March 5, 2009.

Journey and Thought

Radith started the desire to record his diary in the blog when he won the Indonesian Blog Award. Radith also won in the award titled The Online Inspiring Award 2009 from Indosat. From that experiences, he printed (print out) of his writings in his blog and then he offered the printed manuscript to several publishers to be printed as a book. At first, many refused, but then when he came to Gagasmedia, a book publisher, the manuscript was accepted, although they had a presentation in advance.

Radit successfully becomes a writer because he stepped out of the mainstream. He appeared with a fresh new genre. What makes it is different from other writers is the idea of the name of the books is the name of animals that always he uses in his books. From the first book until recently, all the titles contain the name of the animal. For Radith, this is his selling point.

For Radith, as the writer, we have to have innovation. In fact, in the first few months, his first book was not too sold out. According Radith, this is the risk of entry in the new genre. Radith promoted the book by the blog that he managed later aggressively. He was also vigorous doing by word of mouth. Radith asked readers to take pictures with his first book, then sent to Radith. By this, it can be a marketing strategy that can manage the reader as the target market. According Radith, in writing, after the book was published, it doesn’t indicate that complete affairs. Later, marketing submitted to the publisher.

Instead, the writer should also be a marketer for his own book because the author is actually also an artist. A creative writer will make his book as a product which for him must be sold out in the market. Although in essence the book is not commercial item, but regard the book as a product that contains knowledge that is marketed. That is a thing that needs to be done at this time.

Being a successful writer does not mean there are no barriers. According Radith, the barrier is not only from the book industry, but also from things that are diagonal. That is, opponents of the book industry may not be another book industry, but the others industries that are not related at all, such as entertainment, food, and others. For example, if there is young person has 50.000 rupiahs, yet he would spend it for buying books. It could be used for watching movies in movie theater or buying fast food. And clearly, the book is not the primary choice.

For Radith, this is already common. All we need now are we must do creative something and act creatively . For him, the competition that exists is the key to have innovation.  The pressure of competitors may be the motivation to continue to provide new ideas and explore new capabilities.

Now, Radith is still continuing his study at the extension program of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Indonesia. Radith is also a host in Provocative Proactive program, Metro TV. In addition, he is a director and a chief editor in a book publishing, Bukune.

Can I Have This Dance – High School Musical 3

Can I Have This Dance

oleh: High School Musical

So Sweet TT

[Gabriella]

Take my hand, take a breath

Pull me close and take one step

Keep your eyes locked on mine,

And let the music be your guide.

[Troy, Gabriella]

Won’t you promise me (now won’t you promise me, that you’ll never forget)

We’ll keep dancing (to keep dancing) wherever we go next

[Chorus]

It’s like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you

It’s one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do

And with every step together, we just keep on getting better

So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)

Can I have this dance

[Troy]

Take my hand, I’ll take the lead

And every turn will be safe with me

Don’t be afraid, afraid to fall

You know I’ll catch you threw it all

[Troy, Gabriella]

And you can’t keep us apart (even a thousand miles, can’t keep us apart)

‘Cause my heart is (cause my heart is) wherever you are

[Chorus]

It’s like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you

It’s one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do

And with every step together, we just keep on getting better

So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)

Can I have this dance

[Troy, Gabriella]

Oh no mountains too high enough, oceans too wide

‘Cause together or not, our dance won’t stop

Let it rain, let it pour

What we have is worth fighting for

You know I believe, that we were meant to be

[Chorus]

It’s like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you (like you)

It’s one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do (way we do)

And with every step together, we just keep on getting better

So can I have this dance (can I have this dance)

Can I have this dance

Can I have this dance

Can I have this dance

BEING A GOOD TRANSLATOR

This is my first experience to be a translator. I’m aware that I’m still too young for this job. But, I have to believe, I can do this well because when we believe it, it can happen automatically.

MY KNU TEAM

I was a translator when there was KYUNGPOOK NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (KNU) students from South Korea came in Bau-Bau, 13th – 25th July 2010. The total of members is 80 people. There were 4 teams. Each team has 18 students and 2 lecturers. They taught in schools. They are in SMAN 1 Bau-Bau, SMAN 2 Bau-Bau, SMAN 4 Bau-Bau, and SMAN 6 Bau-Bau. The students taught Korean Language, English, IT, Taekwondo, and Recreation. And I got the KNU Team for SMAN 1 Bau-Bau.

There are some important points that must be had by a translator, they are like these:

  1. Being a translator must have self confidence. That’s main key. English is also important, but I think it is just the support for being a translator. When we have had it, we can do the job well.
  2. We must appear the leadership in our own self because we are the leader in that team. Translator doesn’t not only translate everything, but also have to manage all of our tourists need. Make sure everything is well. The translator must have the sensitivity. This is one of my difficult jobs. But, I enjoyed this because I have a dream to be a guide or translator. ^^
  3. The translator must be an initiator and a decision maker. If we get some problems, we have to be able to get the solution to solve the problem. We shouldn’t find cause of problem first. It will be done after the problem can be solved. So, the translator must have a mature thinking about the problem that will appear later. Don’t wait the problem comes. That’s why the translator should be smart to see the situation that will happen.
  4. Be a translator, we must build communication line among others translators, our team, our coordinators, and other parties concerned. Basically, we are team. We must have a good coordination. By building communication line among them, it can make easy our work.
  5. If we get problem, the translator must be calm. Don’t be panic.
  6. The translator must be strict with the tourist about dress code or attitude that be forbidden to be done in certain places. So, give them explanation about that well.
  7. The translator must have a strong mental. Whatever people say to us, especially it’s a bad comment, don’t care about that. Keep doing our best as long as it’s good for us and our work.
  8. Don’t forget to always keep good our name, our city, our government, our country.
  9. In making conversation, we must avoid the repetition.
  10. The translator must give a lot of attention for the tourist, and then they can feel they are safe with us.

Thus, some important points that we must take notice about being a good translator. The professionalism must be improved and then we will be one of the best translators in this world. ^^ (wow… over…!!! Hohoho…). I hope my writing can be useful for you all and thanks for visiting my website and reading this article. Thank you… ^^

*thanks before for Kk ALiiii yang udah mo ngasih comment and kritikannya selama Ning jadi translator, buat para translator yg lain alias kk2 senior gw, thx byak udah ngasih msukan dan semangat buat tetap doing our best… 🙂

Assignment of Writing I, My Daily Activities

I have daily activities. I usually get up at 05.00 o’clock. Then I go to the toilet and I take ablution for praying. After praying, I usually learn about subject matter that will be learnt in class. So, it can improve my comprehension about the subject.

Because I am a student in university, I have class from Monday to Saturday and it has different time. So, I have to be able to adjust my time in accordance with my schedule.

On Monday and Tuesday, class begins the subject at 07.30 am. So, when it is 06.00 o’clock, I have to take a bath and leave my house at 07.00 o’clock. Sometimes, I don’t have breakfast. I go to campus by public car. I wait it in PDAM Buton Regency at Jalan Sultan Ikhsanuddin. I usually arrive in campus at 07.30 am. But, sometimes I come late because I am not discipline for the time schedule. I am aware about that. It is one of my bad habits and I must correct it to be better for my self and my future.
